Heaven’s Dog and the Soma Grand for SF SPCA Event
What better location to bring attention to the plight of dogs and other pets than the aptly named Heaven’s Dog Restaurant at the Soma Grand. On Tuesday, January 19th from 6pm – 8pm, Heaven’s Dog and the Soma Grand are inviting neighbors, pet owners and pet lovers from around the city to raise their glasses high in order to create awareness for the plight of animals in need of care and homes in San Francisco. In addition, Heaven’s Dog is donating 50% of all beverage sales during that time period to the San Francisco SPCA.
“This is an urgent issue that needs greater attention,” explains Heaven’s Dog General Manager, Eric Adkins. “If people actually understood the statistics of animals in need of healing and care, I have no doubt that this issue would be receiving even greater coverage. The number of animals that are in need of adoption, neutering or spaying due to the recession is a problem that needs addressing. We are happy that we are able to offer our help, and we hope we have a large crowd on-hand. We want to provide the San Francisco SPCA with a much needed donation and support.”
WHAT: SPCA Fundraiser at Heaven’s Dog. 50% of all proceeds from beverage sales to benefit San Francisco SPCA.
WHEN: Tuesday, January 19, 2010: 6pm – 8pm
